I was given notice the day before our visit that we were having a “Family” Day and would have lunch on the patio here. My first thought was, Oh great (forcing a smile), lunch on a patio in 90 degree heat and humidity……
I loved it from the minute we walked through the front door.
Warmly greeted at the door and led through the indoor wine bar and tables that had a nostalgic, old timey feel, to the back patio where our table was. Although it was a hot, humid July summer day there was a nice little breeze that swept across the patio. When it stopped, we asked if the ceiling fans to be put on and without hesitation our waiter accommodated the request. We started with a Red wine flight, oven warmed olives and ricotta with apple appetizers. Both apps were fantastic. My wife and daughter each got their own wood fired pizza, I opted for the Charred Octopus. Nothing but good things to say about all 3 meals (I sampled each pizza). Food was excellent. Now to the back area which is impressive by itself. Off the patio there was plenty of shaded areas to sit, eat, drink and be merry. The yard is beautifully landscaped with lots of flower boxes and trees, they even have a Bocce Ball court. Plenty of great scenery to get loads of great pictures. We all had a nice experience here and would surely recommend this to anyone who enjoys the outdoor dining scene or a “Family” day trip on the North Fork. I know we will be returning for sure.

We dropped in, on this winery on one of the coldest days in December, thus far. No walking through the vinyards, no listening to music, we were just getting such an A1 experience with Kim, as she gave us an intimate wine tasting experience, and interesting history about the winery. The Merlot Bloc was our favorite, not to mention that we felt so comfortable and welcome there.

This is a wonderful experience, the food is amazing, literally one of the best wood fired pizza experiences ever, the meatballs are out of this world!!! Now the wine was impressive for the whites only surpassed by their dessert wine which was worth stocking up before we left.
The seating in the area for waited tables is by far inferior to the general public area, the staff was really the hidden gem here, from the hostesses, especially Rose to the food team you really are treated like a guest in someones home.
Bravo to the Jamesport Vinyards team, this is a wonderful experience all around.

Hidden Gem in Wine Country!
Out of the four tasting rooms we visited, Jamesport Tasting Room was hands down the standout! Not only did we enjoy a fantastic wine tasting (the Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Italian Lagrein were all delicious), but the value here is unbeatable. Unlike most wineries in the area, Jamesport actually offers a discount when you buy bottles directly—no price gouging or sticker shock. It’s refreshing to support a local business that doesn’t make you choose between great wine and your budget.
Bonus points for the goat cheese and sausage pizza—crispy, flavorful, and the perfect pairing with our tasting. The vibe is relaxed, welcoming, and refreshingly unpretentious compared to some of the more "exclusive" spots nearby.
If you’re in the area and want excellent wine without the inflated prices, Jamesport is a must. Highly recommend!

Stopped by for lunch on our way out to Greenport. We had our 4 Mo old with us and the staff was very accommodating. The pizza and food was excellent and the grounds to enjoy a glass of wine are pleasant. For the pizza we got the Sammy (I think that’s what it was) and I really enjoyed the crust and flavor. It was a Monday during May, so not too busy, but still plenty of people enjoying the day.
